Emotional Intellignce

Long time ago, I was introduced to the concept that a human being has the visible, (what we see) and the invisible (what we don't see). That it's the invisible that controls the visible. Your hand cannot move unless prompted by the invisible in you. The visible, we call the body or matter. The invisible is further divided into 3 components; the soul or spirit, the feelings or emotions and the mind. Out of all these, the emotions are deemed to be of tremendous power and a double-aged sword which can either heal or harm. Emotions can be wild or checked. They determine most of the activities done by a human being; both positive and negative. The ability to keep them under control and make productive use of them is a critical skill every human being needs. No meaningful success can be realized otherwise. With this, we see broken families and relationships, lost jobs and promotions, collapsed enterprises, suicides, killings, conflicts everywhere, etc. With it we see peace, progress, clear thinking, proper leadership and management, wise decisions, examination success, and all the good things.

Life Throws Rocks..

Here's what I've discovered; sometimes life throws a rock at you, not to harm you, but to wake you up! You see, human beings are not like trees. Trees perform better when they are most comfortable. On the contrary, human beings are most effective when in turbulence! People don't grow during celebrations, they grow during hardships. People hardly learn on their way up. They learn on their way down! We discover more when we fail than when we succeed. That's the way life is!

As Napoleon Hill said, "old man failure is always on the path to success, waiting for those who fail the persistence test."
We know that all success come to those who refuse to quit; refuse to throw in the towel. Abraham Lincoln is one of America’s most phenomenal Presidents. But few people experienced failure like he did.
In one year, 1832, he lost his job, contested for a legislative seat and lost, tried to get into Law School, but was rejected.
In 1835, he  started a business & failed, then lost his fiancé.
